Amrapali’s luxury brand creates jewellery inspired by the Indian heritage with a modern twist. Amrapali’s founders, Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera are history students and heritage enthusiasts who strived hard to create a brand that personifies the Indian traditional styles and workmanship. Amrapali’s muse, i.e., Amrapali was known for her timeless beauty and exotic charm. Her beauty and grace has been talked about in the Old Pali and Buddhist traditions making her the ideal muse for the heritage driven brand.
Amrapali Jewels was the ideal brand for the recreation of the warrior queen- Rani Laxmi Bai’s jewellery. It took a year and a half to make the exquisite collection of 955 pieces in 700 different styles. These pieces are handcrafted by 30 karigars using a mix of semi-precious and precious stones on gold-plated and silver-studded metal.
The founders of the brand, Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera said, “We have been an integral part of Manikarnika, where our jewellery was synchronised to fit every character and the larger-than-life sets and scenes.”“Our designers and artisans have worked tirelessly for over a year to achieve the desired aesthetics that the script demanded.”
The collection is heavily inspired by the art and architecture of the Maratha region and can be found on their website here.
