RUBY ROSE- BODY SHAMING
Body shaming is one of the biggest problems in today’s generation. Society doesn’t just find humor in degrading a women’s body but they also find humor in degrading in man’s body. Body shaming has become a problem for both genders. In today’s generation, everyone has rights to express their opinions but they don’t have right to judge anyone or write negative comments on any one body. People don’t think about consequences that just comment on anyone body like “her body is so flat”, and “She is fat, that makes him so ugly,” and “you need to lose body”. Nobody chooses the body they have. Everyone is born into that body without a choice.
Ruby Rose Langenheim (better known as Ruby Bose) is an Australian model, DJ, recording artist, actress, television presenter and former MTV VJ.
Ruby Rose, who is known for her fit form posted her photos from Vogue Magazine event on her Instagram account last month. Where many people comments on her Instagram account like “Too skinny” and “Honey I love you, but you need to eat food. I know it seems like I’m being mean, but you look TOO tin for such a hottie! Healthy is one thing that is another…” and several people called Ruby “anorexic” on the social media. She fought back against body shaming where she shared that she hates that how can people comment on a body. Some people have a thin body and some people are fat and I am thin from my birth. So, no one has rights to tell anyone what to eat or not to eat.
“Not because I care about what someone thinks of my body. I love my body when I don’t work out and I am soft and I love it when I train hard and feel strong. I hate it because it worries fans or shames them. I hate it because it uses no logic and basically is just someone protecting their experience and expectation on other,” she said.
We need to stop this at this very moment, and we can do that by making people who shame others realise how this affects life of those who go through this and how dangerous it is for their minds and bodies both to be body shamed just because they don’t land into the definition of beauty and perfection set by the society.
Let’s slam it on their faces and say STOPIT
